Background and Difference From Mass-Market Training
Over the years we have noticed some consistent flaws with the mass-market training classes we have attended at companies like New Horizons, Quickstart, ONLC, and other “big name” mass-market training companies:
- The courses often don’t seem to be written by someone who understands how the software can be applied to solve real business problems
- The instructors often don’t seem to be actually using the software in the real-world to solve business problems – they are just full-time trainers
- The whole experience seems similar to a McDonald’s hamburger – generically designed and provided for mass consumption
So, in 2003, we began writing and teaching SharePoint training courses with the primary goal of providing a training experience that is: A) unique and focused on solving real business problems and B) taught by in-the-field SharePoint consultants, who are also good teachers.
